Privacy

What we record, briefly.

When you click a retailer link from a deal card, we log the click for attribution: the campaign you came from, the product you clicked, and a hashed form of your IP and user-agent. We do not store raw IP or raw user-agent.

We do not run any third-party analytics, trackers, ad pixels, or tag managers. We do not have a cookie consent banner because we do not set tracking cookies.

We do not sell or share data with third parties. The retailer you click through to has its own privacy practices that are separate from ours.

What we log and why

For every click on a retailer link, we record:

  • Which campaign and which deal. So we can credit the right page when a sale completes, and so we can see which cards earn the click-through.
  • A hashed IP and a hashed user-agent. The hash is one-way; we cannot recover the original IP or browser string from it. We use the hashes to deduplicate accidental double-clicks and to detect obvious bot traffic.
  • The referring page, when the browser sends one. So we know whether you came from the homepage, a category, or another card.
  • Standard UTM parameters, when present in the URL. So we can credit the campaign that brought you here.

What we do not have

The simplest privacy story is the one with no third parties in it. Phase 1 of this archive has none:

  • No third-party analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Segment, no Mixpanel.
  • No tracking pixels. No Meta Pixel, no TikTok Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no advertising network beacons.
  • No tag managers. No Google Tag Manager, no Tealium, no third-party tag injector of any kind.
  • No tracking cookies. The only state we set in your browser is what is required to render the page; nothing is set for the purpose of tracking you across visits or sites.

If a future change adds anything in this list, we will update this page before it ships.

Once you click through

Once you land on the retailer's site, you are subject to the retailer's privacy practices, not ours. Their cookie banner, their analytics, and their tracking are theirs to disclose. We have no control over and no visibility into what they do with your visit beyond the affiliate-attribution callback that lets us credit the page.
